Licence to operate a Boom Type Elevating Work Platform Over 11 metres

Description:
The Work Platform 11 metre and over ticket is a Nationally recognised unit of competency (TLILIC508A) and this course is designed to provide students with the ability to operate an Elevated Work Platform safely, and arm them with the knowledge and skills required to obtain a National High Risk Work Licence Class WP.

An elevated work platform is a telscoping, scissor or articulating device (or combination) used to position personnel, equipment and materials at work locations.  It is also used to provide a work area for personnel elvated by and working from the platfom.

Course outcome:
On successful completion of the theory and practical assessment, a Statement of Attainment and Government paperwork will be issued from which the licence is issued.

Course Length:
Approximately three days, depandant on experience and skills.

Eagle Farm, West Burleigh, Ipswich, Sunshine Coast, Toowoomba, Gladstone, Cairns, Townsville, Mackay.

Minimum Requirements:
Intermediate level of numeracy, literacy and communication skills
Must be 18+ years
Must be able to understand, read and write English
Photographic Identification
100 points of identification will be required for Licence Processing

Licence Processing Fees

Licence processing fees are payable to Australia Post when lodging the licence application on completion of the course. 



EWP Yellow Card

Training

Under 11 metre

Description:
The EWP, Yellow card is a nationally recognised operator training program and is recognised by by all major manufacturers and suppliers and users of EWPs. “The training program also meets the two key objectives of the OH&S Acts Which is To confirm the operators of specific types of EWPs have been trained in the safe use of the work platform; and The supplier, employer and user all have documentary evidence the required “duty of care” has been met or exceeded,”

The Operator Card is a registered ticket issued to operators who have been successfully trained by EWPA Accredited Trainers in the safe use and operation of various types of EWPs.

There are five different types of EWPs listed on the ticket, with those not applicable deleted by the trainer before issue. Whilst these are all classed as EWPs, each one is very different in use and safe operation.The categories are:

Trailermounted Boom lift - TL
Self Propelled Boom lift - BL
Vertical Lift - VL
Scissor Lift - SL
Truck Mounted Boom - TM

Course Outcome:
One successful competion of a theory and practical assessment, a certificate of completion endorsed by the Elevating Work Platform of Australia will be issued.

Course Length:
Approximately 4 hours dependant on group size
